Here at Centro ASSIST, we geek out on everything NDIS. We pride ourselves as nerds.
So when the NDIS Commission spruce up the Registration page (updated 18 October 2024), we notice the changes!
There’s more information and a new ‘before you apply’ section. So here are the 3 steps before you apply for NDIS Registration.
Step 1 – Make sure you’re eligible
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Demonstrate your ability to deliver the classes of supports and services you’re applying for, including providing evidence.
- Learn about the audit process before starting your application.
Step 2 – Screen Your Workers
- Ensure all workers delivering NDIS supports and services, including key personnel, have a valid worker screening clearance.
- Apply for access to the NDIS Worker Screening Database to check the clearance status of your workers.
Note: Failing to ensure relevant workers have a valid clearance may delay your application.
Step 3 – Prepare Your Application
- Register for a PRODA account if you don’t have one.
- Gather your organisation’s details, including corporate structure, governance arrangements, and locations.
- Collect key personnel’s details, including names, dates of birth, and contact details.
- List the NDIS supports and services you plan to provide.
- Provide supporting evidence (if required) to show you meet certain requirements.
Note: Missing or inaccurate information may delay your application.
